Facing her only test of the past two weeks, the No. 1-seeded Serena Williams overcame No. 2 Victoria Azarenka 7-5, 6-7 (6), 6-1 on Sunday for a fifth championship at Flushing Meadows and second in a row with her fifth US Open Championship.
Serena Williams is Number One for giving everything she has on the court. She is also Number One among professional female tennis professionals. She hold 17 major titles.
She believes she can win and believes she deserves to win each time she faces an opponent.
She has said:
